Adventure Inn Durango was born from a simple belief: the best stays aren't just about where you sleep—they're about where you launch your adventure.
When we (Jordan & Connor) discovered this old roadside motor lodge just outside of downtown Durango, we saw more than a dated motel. We saw possibility. A place that could be reborn as a hub for modern travelers—people like us—who seek the raw beauty of the outdoors, the thrill of exploration, and the warmth of a shared fire at the end of the day.
We've spent years traveling to mountain towns and wild spaces, chasing hikes, climbs, and long days outside. Every great trip we took had one thing in common: a home base that was simple, welcoming, and designed with adventurers in mind. That's exactly what we set out to create here in Durango.
Today, Adventure Inn is a 27-room boutique motor lodge reimagined for the modern explorer. Step inside and you'll find thoughtful touches like in room bike and ski racks in our King rooms, a lobby designed for connection, a cedar hot tub to ease sore muscles, and a glowing fire pit to share stories under the Colorado sky.
But more than that, you'll find a spirit: the spirit of two families who believe hospitality is personal, who believe a hotel should feel like a trailhead, and who built this place as a launching point for adventure.
